1. So I am on spring break.
I couldn’t really afford to go anywhere, so I didn’t.
This is sort of not working out for me.
First of all, it is mid June in Chicago, meaning it is COLD AS BALLS.
Second of all, most of my friends did go on vacation, so I’m kind of alone.
THIRD OF ALL MY CABLE ISNT WORKING. are you FUCKING kidding me?
2. I have been working on a one page Word Document, bulleted in 12 pt. font that lists and describes all of my accomplishments.
I am not that impressed.

(said with a french accent).
In college, we convinced one of our gullible friends that you were supposed to pronounce resume like the word “resume” (meaning to recommence. )
(i’m not sure a story about oral pronounciation works online)
Anyway, ironies of ironies, or coincidence of coincidences, I’m finding myself incapable of recommencing the resume I started working on the other day.
I’m looking for a new job and I’m finding it hard to market myself accordingly.
There isn’t a good action verb for- an incredible ability to line throngs of adolescents up in single sex single file lines and walk them around a disgusting crummy building so they can attend to basic human needs such as eating lunch or going to the bathroom (alsoknownas “using it”).
Special Skills: weapon confiscator, fight breaker-upper, tearful complaint inducer.
ps. fun fact. even though we do ponounce the word resume like it were french, in france a resume is called a curriculum vitae (CV)

I’ve decided that I totally miss writing.
I bet when most people think about missing college they think of drinking games, and stumbling home late at night, or ordering food at 3 am. But I still do all that stuff. I miss writing and reading nonfiction, and arguing with that conservative jerkoff in my Ethics and Public Policy class who was always, always wrong.
I’ve played around with b.l.o.g.’s before, and added extended info to my facebook page, I occasionally leave away messages on gchat all in an attempt to increase my written output.
When I decided I really missed singing, I decided to take guitar lessons. My dad got super excited (my dad plays his guitar incessantly.. which got old in a one bathroom raised ranch). He bought me a guitar as a combo birthday/christmas present and I signed up for classes at the music school down the street. I was pretty excited about it, I did a group class thinking I would maybe meet cool guitar people, and we would all get together and “jam”. (Really I was hoping I would meet a really hot guitar guy, and we would get together and “jam”). Well neither of those things happened and it slowly became difficult for me to squeeze in guitar lessons and classes in between the two teaching jobs I had.
So, like most everything else I ever tried, I quit after a little while. My one performance was the day before Christmas vacation where I treated my fourth graders to a mini concert consisting of “Rudolph”, “Frosty”, and “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce.
The point of that long story, is that I will probably quit this too. But I will at least try to post when I can.
